2) Imagery

 

Definition:
Descriptive language in a literally work.

Example:

Chasm and canyon
Carved into the land

Epic face of time
A space of creation
And slow change
Formation of rock
Rivers cutting through
Indentations
Swelling of earth
Gentle, rolling slopes
Gaping, edged depression
Opening new worlds


Significance:
Imagery gives you the aid of visualize. Imagery let the author express their emotion deeper. With words that are like image, readers will be easily understand the poem and become more like the poem.
